I have disabled the email subscription thing. Half of you loved it – the other half felt it too frequent and spammy. Not looking to start World War III.
SO. I’m forcing people to move toward RSS Feed readers. I use Google Reader

  1. Hi,

No need to publish this comment.

You should not have disabled your email subscription. Email marketing is a very effective marketing strategy but you have to approach it in the right way. Try sending 3-5 helpful emails first then follow it with a soft promotion. Rinse and repeat.

Do not worry about those who complain because that’s not your audience and as we all know you cannot please everybody. They can easily unsubscribe from your list. You’ll get your new audience because you have some consistent traffic. Focus on the other half of your subscribers who really wants to be in your tribe. Just my thoughts.

    • I like Reader better, because all my Paleo blogs are in one area and I certainly do feel like part of the community as I can go right into the room and join my tribe. But to each their own and that’s how I feel–excited to go to Reader and see what’s new specifically in Paleo during the day. Easy access.

    • I should clarify – I didn’t kill email notifications entirely, just the current system. For those that still want an email of new content there is a signup form at the bottom of the site.

  2. I have been getting Google Reader posts exclusively. I love it as all my Paleo blogs and sites can be put together and I easily know when something new is up. I HATE scrolling up and down my email because I have lots of interests and get many emails from those. And then the extra step of putting them into email folders, blah, blah. Drives me nuts. Nope, all the posts are there back into history in one spot in Google Reader. Best invention since the Paleo muffin in a mug I make.
