Announcing Everyday Paleo Lifestyle and Fitness!!!!

Finally, the time has come to announce and introduce to you:

Everyday Paleo Lifestyle and Fitness!!Everyday Paleo Lifestyle and Fitness

Over the past several months, Jason Seib and I have been working together to create EPLifeFit, in hopes that this will be the missing link for many of you on your paleo journey.  As trainers, we are both incredibly passionate about fitness and how it should be made to fit into a paleo lifestyle and we both have been frustrated and concerned that we simply could not give you exactly what you need; beyond some futile suggestions and blogs written in the form of begging folks to lift weights and get moving.  Of course the questions keep coming; how do we do it, what do we do, what do we need, where do we go?

Jason and I both have families with three children, dogs, chickens, after school functions, before school functions, businesses to run, and lives to live and we know how hard it can be to make this lifestyle work AND add in a fitness plan, so we created Everyday Paleo Lifestyle and Fitness which is designed to work for anyone and the answers are now literally at your fingertips.

EPLifeFit is not just about fitness, it’s a community, a support network, a way to access Jason, myself, my husband who is an award winning chiropractor and mobility expert, as well as a team of knowledgable moderators simply by opening up your computer.

EPLifeFit  is also about lifestyle and nutrition, a way to access information that before we simply did not have the ability to give to you; but now we can. I could go on and on but instead, please go check out Everyday Paleo Lifestyle and Fitness for yourself, see all that it has to offer, and once you join, we’ll see you there, ready to help.

As always, Enjoy!

Your dedication to helping others is tremendous. I can finally eat again (without being in horrible pain). I know many people choose this lifestyle to look good. I have chosen it to FEEL GOOD!

HOORAY!! Excited to fully explore this! Thank you Jason and Sarah, for giving us another fabulous resource to use personally and with others we train.

HOLY CRAP! YESSS!!! your cookbook helped me so much with learning to EAT paleo that i have no problems with cravings – i’ve lost 25 lbs, symptoms of crohn’s disease have been drastically reduced, my skin looks like a $10 milkshake – basically everything rules but i have been holding on to cardio – i’m ready to WORK paleo as well – thankyou both so very, very much. you’ve both helped me learn how to drastically improve my life. the effort so damn worth it <3

Love this!! (And that kept going in as “Live thus!!” which seems strangely appropriate.) Will look into this. I love CF (again with the “live”!), but I’m having serious schedule issues getting there as much as I need to. Thank you for this, and all you do. :)

  4. Diane says

*pants* It’s so wonderful to see this go live! Congrats to both of you in getting this out there for us. I’ll see you in Jan when my on-ramp at CPC is done!

    Sarah & Jason,

Congrats! I can’t wait to see how this takes off! As you know, your site, and book has helped transform my family in helping us go paleo. I’m sure we’ll be following EPLifeFit as closely as we follow this one :)

    Congrats, and good luck!

This might be the end of the road for me and EP. I have skipped all of Jason’s posts since he acted like a misogynistic jerk a few months back, and there was no intervention as such. I really appreciate your hard work Sarah, but if this is the direction you’re taking the site, I will have to remove myself from your influence. Take care.

    • Bigeasy says

Wow!thanks for taking your time to post that lovely comment!I really didn’t understand a single thing you said!Do you need a hug!Maybe its time for you to walk your own path!Im thinkin we might be o.K. without you!

    • just for the record says

Facts speak for themselves, and there are so many that have benefited from Jason’s training. Glad to see him reach a wider audience and watch them benefit as well.

    • JasonS says

A misogynistic jerk who built a whole successful career around training mostly women, and a great deal of them in menopause, which clearly means a lot of research specifically to be used for the benefit of women. I guess you win some…

      • Michelle says

Well, being a woman and training at CPC with Jason for the past year-and-a-half, I can say that being a “misogynistic jerk” couldn’t be further from the truth. If you’d like to take it that way, feel. I think Jason has been direct and informative. “Calling it like it is” has done amazing things to education women (and men). I’m sorry you’ve decided for forgo an amazing resource. Jason and Sarah, you have my unwavering support.

    • Sarah says

Everyday Paleo will stay the same. Everyday Paleo Lifestyle and Fitness is an entirely different site that Jason and I have built together separate from my site. I am extremely proud to work with Jason.

    • Tina says

I read this blog but never respond but can’t help myself after reading this. Jason and his whole team at CFC are amazing! Don’t judge a book by its cover. You can “Anonymous”ly make a comment like that about someone you don’t know. Ask anyone at Jason’s gym that he sees daily what their thought of him is. It will be nothing like you have suggested. He jokes, plays, pushes you, & rewards you with encouragement. He is truly passionate about what he does and educates himself every chance he gets. Clackamas Physical Conditioning “Rocks”!

    Yes…yes….yes…!!!!
    food, exercise, Jason, and you!
I think this is awesome. I am wondering if this will replace my crossfit gym? or if I should do both? we’ll try both and see :)

  8. Sara says

It sounds great but do I have to have a membership to a gym to follow the workouts? I don’t have a bench press at home :)

    • Angela says

Hi Sara, obviously Jason and/or Sarah can answer your question better, but I am in the same boat as you. From what I have seen, I think there are enough modifications offered on the site that someone like us (no gym membership; no bench press) can still benefit. It might take some investment in a few pieces of equipment, but I don’t think we’ll necessarily have to turn our garages into a home gym in order to get the benefits.

    • Jason says

You will get the best results if you have access to a gym, or at least access to heavy weights, because the most important thing you can do for your fitness is to lift heavy weights, regardless of your goal. Helping everyone understand this fact was one of our primary goals in creating this site. That does not mean you can’t work out at home, just that you should be prepared to acquire some weights, a barbell, some dumbbells, etc. little by little. We have a complete equipment list in the forums including a few recommended suppliers. There is still plenty of value on the site for you if you don’t immediately have access to weights, but please understand that you need to be lifting eventually. We priced our monthly membership cheap enough that you could still pay gym dues at a big corporate gym and probably end up with a monthly total that is less than the cost of one personal training session.

This looks awesome! As a dietitian and paleo advocate (yes, that exists!), this will be a great resource for me. Can’t wait to refer clients to this, especially those needing more direction in the exercise department. Thanks!

  10. Kate says

I think it’s great that you guys are making this kind of web-based personal training available for people who can’t or do not want to go the in-person personal training route! I know for a fact that I would not have set foot in a gym or started any kind of weight training if I wasn’t also dating someone who is a coach – but this is exactly the kind of thing that I would have done, and it sounds a HELL of a lot more fun, interactive, and dare I say, less boring, than P90x or some of the other stuff that people use as their “intro” to health and fitness.

    Congrats!

  11. Holly says

The box in my town is very very expensive. Their website scares me because they state that if you are unable to do certain things then they do not want you there period. I have knee issues (due to botched up knee surgery) so I am limited in how much weight I can lift and squat with weights. I did find another box in a big city however the hours do not work for me and the distance is far. However they do make modifications for any injury.

So with that said, I was hoping just using this membership would be all I need to do this at home. It seems like you are saying box membership is still necessary. Sorry I am trying to understand what your meaning is on that. We do have weights here at home. We do have a bench here. No lift bars though or kettleballs.

Is it possible to do this without a box membership??

    Holly
ps: I was very excited to see this yesterday until I read the comments so I am sort of confused. :)

What an incredible partnership!!! I am also a dietitian who supports paleo (and usually eats paleo… although I sneak in my oatmeal and greek yogurt on occasion) and who continues to use this website as a resource for patients on a daily basis… Now I’ll have another!

You both do a wonderful job at making the recommendations practical for anyone!

All the best with this new project!

  13. Cecilia says

I love your website it’s been a great source of support on my paleo journey this year. I was disappointed to see I have to use pay pal to sign up for the paleo lifestyle and fitness plan. I know I can make improvements to my workouts, and I was going to splurge and make the purchase, however I’m not a big fan of pay pal—sadly I will have to pass on this program for now. Perhaps as you progress in this new project other purchase options will be available.

  14. Stephanie says

    Hi guys,
I’m a big fan of EP and Jason’s contributions. I am very happy with the Crossfit I go to here in San Jose. I am really looking for more nutritional support, is EP Life Fit the place for me? I’m eating paleo very consistently but having trouble dropping the weight I want to- story of my life really!
Thanks for all you do to help all of out there to meet our health goals!

    • Sarah says

Hi Stephanie! I think you will be impressed with the support you’ll receive from EPLifeFit. In our forums, it really is like a Facebook for the paleo community where you can ask any nutrition related question and you will get your answers plus feedback and support from all of the members as well! There is a place to log your daily food intake to help keep yourself accountable as well as a recipe share section in the forums as well and you can view other members food logs to get an idea of what’s working for other folks! Besides the actual fitness part of the program there is an entire mobility section that is well worth the membership all on it’s own. You will and can learn everything you need to know about body maintenance, foam rolling, stretching, etc. It’s a very well rounded program no matter what your needs might be. Hope to see you over at EPLifeFit!

  15. Jeb says

    Hi Sarah and Jason,
I am very interested in this service! I was just telling my husband that I’m contemplating hiring a trainer as I enter my 2nd trimester but I’m less than impressed with the trainers at my gym. Would modifications be made for pregnancy?
    Thank you so much!

    • Sarah says

Hi Jeb! Yes, there are some modifications that you might want to take for pregnancy but overall it’s entirely safe to do these movements while pregnant. However, if you are a brand new beginner to a exercise program I highly recommend going through the beginner modules which focus on form before intensity and you learn how to move your body correctly and how to lift correctly. I hope to see you over at EPLifeFit and in the forums we can specifically address any questions or concerns along the way!

  16. Jen says

I joined tonight and I’m so excited to start the beginner modules! It’s the truly guided fitness I think I’ve been missing. I’ve been neglecting that part of the Paleo lifestyle because I just didn’t know quite where to start. There are no excuses now.

Another by product is that its going to help me ease into just the right mini gym set up at home. Instead of paying for a gym membership I’m going to slowly put it towards the right equipment.

I feel so empowered and supported already. Thank you for all your hard work!

  17. Sara says

Thank you so much! I appreciate this life changing! I love your passion and being so helpful! My husband has been sick with hyperthyroidism and am so excited to have hope!

  18. Hope says

OK, I’ve set up a paypal account and I’m about ready to pull the trigger on EPLifeFit, however, I have a couple of questions: I am currently not doing ANY type of exercise. Nothing. A few years ago I did yoga. So, would I be better off waiting to start EPLF until I am consistently doing something? I need to spend my $$ wisely.
Also, due to nerve surgery on my arm, I have VERY limited strength/use of it and know that I won’t be able to lift much weight at all (a gallon of milk carried from the car to the house is about all I can manage), so I’m wondering about how that will impact my ability with EPLF.
Other than that, I’ve been following a paleo diet for almost 2 mos now and I LOVE IT! Thank you Sarah for writing your book–such a wonderful resource!

    Hope
