I have disabled the email subscription thing. Half of you loved it – the other half felt it too frequent and spammy. Not looking to start World War III.

SOPA and PIPA

Sounds like some lovely Spanish tapas, right?

Sorry folks, nothing delicious about this one.

You may have noticed that for a time, Everyday Paleo was completely offline with a strike message. We decided that we don’t want to be totally inaccessible so I have replaced the lockout with a landing page that allows regular site use (obviously, because you are here).

“But this is a recipe and life site and is not the appropriate platform for waging political battles”

I suggest to you that SOPA and PIPA are far FAR more important to you than you may realize. I can’t say anything that hasn’t already been written about SOPA and PIPA. I will suggest that you read up on the two bills and then think how would it affect your Internet habits. I have included a few links that do a good job at explaining it without too much fear-mongering and editorializing. It’s up to you, folks. Do you really think that the “bad guys” of the Internet will stop what they’re doing because of this? If I were a pirate, I’d just move my server, change addresses, use different DNS, use proxy servers etc. Intellectual property theft is a giant problem, a problem that we deal with at Everyday Paleo in fact. However, piracy is not going away with the passage of these two power grab pieces of legislation.

DON’T PANIC! Just a little cosmetic tweaking.

Aside

Hey folks, Dain here letting you know that Everyday Paleo is tinkering with some things.
Do not worry, do not fear change, just relax.
Go eat some animals and plants. It’s only the Internet.

Thought you’d like to know that everything is under control and you’re not going crazy.

(UPDATE 2:41 GMT-8) OK that was a mess. Back to the old way until I can get things to work better.
