Pan Seared Halibut with Ginger Mango Salsa and Cilantro Sauce

Yes, it’s a big name but way easier than it sounds and holy cow; so darn delicious I’m making this dish twice in one week!!!  I made this for lunch yesterday and although I haven’t yet tried the following option; I’m confident that the Salsa and the Cilantro Sauce would also be just as good over other seafood options besides halibut or served on top of chicken!

Creamy Pumpkin Curry

This recipe was inspired by a reader who emailed me a recipe that he created for a seafood curry that was served over roasted pumpkin.  Of course I can never leave anything alone so I revised his recipe to make this Creamy Pumpkin Curry. Alldrin & Sons Alaska Salmon

There’s nothing quite like fresh wild caught Alaska salmon; but how the heck is a California girl supposed to get her hands on such a find? Fortunately, we are lucky enough to know an amazing family who lives right here in Chico who happen to run a small Alaskan based fishing company.  This father and sons team seasonally travel to Alaska to catch salmon and have it sent back to Chico, CA.  The process in which they catch, process, and freeze the fish is amazing and produces the freshest tasting salmon I have EVER eaten.

Everyday Paleo Thai “No Peanut” Sauce

Thanks to my adventurous mother, as far back as I can remember I have had a huge interest and affection for international cuisine with one of my favorites being Thai food.

I hope someday to travel to Thailand and immerse myself in the culture, eat the food, visit the beaches, and ride around in a Tuk Tuk.  Truthfully, I want to travel the entire world and explore exciting food destinations and I will admit that now and then I’ll close my eyes and imagine myself as the female equivalent to Anthony Bourdain, especially now that he has given up cigarettes!
