Hi Sarah, would you believe that I had never even heard of a crock pot until I read about it on your website? And thanks to your love for it, I actually decided to buy one. Took me a while to find one though, because believe it or not, while crock pots may be widely known and used throughout The States, over here in The Netherlands, the most common reaction to the word crock pot is "a what?". Anyway, even though it's Midsummer here, I was in a stew-mood all of a sudden and made your garlic beef stew. I absolutely loved it! So thanks for introducing me to the crock pot and for another great recipe!

Yummy! I made this beef dish with the Puttanesca Sauce from TJ's this week. Our twin 18-month olds and 9-year old all loved including myself. This will be a standby for sure. Thanks for your terrific recipes!

HURRAY Nikki!! I'm so glad you liked these even with your hate for salmon! My kids love these too, even my oldest who also is not a big salmon fan - they are just straight up good!

HI Sam,
Not sure where you live, but if you have a Trader Joe's around, you can buy almond meal there for half that price, in fact I think it's closer to $5 a bag. If not, you can also make your own almond meal by simply throwing a bunch of almonds in a food processor or blender until they are finely ground. A substitute, although I'm not sure how well it would work for this recipe, would be coconut flour, but honestly it's typically more expensive than almond meal.

I'm glad you like the website, and don't worry, I won't stop posting recipes!! : )

I make something like this with out the olives-which sounds good- and we add beaten eggs and milk and swiss cheese. It cooks like a soufle and it is good for brunch and great way to do these as left overs :) can be made low call by eggbeaters or eggwhites. Low fat cheese.

Just tried for lunch. HATE, hate salmon. Opening the can almost did me in! End result..........delish! Loved them Sarah...the mayo topper clenched it. Well done girl. For others out there...didn't have enought oil to make mayo from scratch, but used regular mayo with all of the recipe additions and it, too, was great in a pinch. Thanks, Sarah.

Is there a substitute for the almond meal? I went to the grocery today it was 15$ for a small bag of almond meal, seems a bit much. Hopefully the health food store has some...

Also, great website! Hopefully it continues to grow and new recipes are added!
