Jason Seib and Sarah Fragoso Have Stuff to Say

As most of you may know, Jason Seib and I are co-owners of Everyday Paleo Lifestyle and Fitness, hosts of the Paleo Lifestyle and Fitness Podcast, and we conduct our Everyday Paleo Workshops together.  As a business partner, I couldn’t ask for a better person to work with, and personally, Jason and his family are our wonderful friends and John and I are lucky to have them in our lives.  Jason happened to be at our home last weekend as we wrap up a new project that we will soon be sharing with all of you.  The day that he left, John turned on the camera while Jason and I chatted, unscripted, and from the heart.

    Watching this reminds me of the conversations my husband and I have regarding this “lifestyle”. We feel alone on this journey a lot of the time. But thankfully we know there are many others out there demanding change too. Thanks for the peek inside :)

    So blessed to have Jason as my trainer for almost 2 years, changed my life! At the beginning Jason said, “Eat Paleo”, came home and did research online and thought “oh yea like thats gonna work”. Well it does!! I am 63 years old and feel better than I have in years…PS my husband says I look good too :)! Jason also introduced me to Sarah’s cookbooks which make cooking paleo easy and delicious. The Paleo Couch is a great way to get started, written by Jason.

    For the past 3 years, since I have started on this journey, friends/family/co-workers are always asking me questions about how I eat. The challenge is watching them not listen as I explain. They look at me like something is wrong when I talk about eating fat, they start to tune out when they realize they can’t have their processed foods, they roll their eyes at me when I buy grassfed/pastured meats and eggs, organic vegetables. Some days it seems impossible. But then…someone does listen and they do start to change. Someone actually seeks help from a nutritionist or chiropractor I’ve recommended. Some do the research and know what I am talking about. Some send me pictures of meals they have prepared and tell me how they have eaten little to no processed food for the week. Those are the good days! And the reason to keep going! :) I listen to your podcasts every week and have read the Paleo Coach and have Sarah’s cookbooks. You help me and you help others through me. Keep it up! :)

    I’m still struggling in my paleo journey, but I understand the benefits and know that it is the best path to health for me and my family. I appreciate all the time and effort you put into this for our benefit. I have found myself no longer referring to the way I eat as “Paleo” just because of the stigma that seems to be associated with the name. I now tell people that I’m trying to eat real food and that I’m cutting out the things that make me feel sick. It’s still a process and I have a long way to go, but I know it will work and I won’t give up. I look forward to the day that I no longer even think about what I’m eating and it’s just how it is. Again, thanks for all you do. I look forward to the podcast each week and cook almost exclusively out of Sarah’s two books, adding in stuff from the new Italian book this week.

    I can’t comprehend at all why the concept of eating real, whole foods is SO foreign to people. Furthermore, it’s great sport for folks to mock me for eating the way I do. It must be “brainwashing,” as Sarah said.

    I don’t speak of it anymore to anyone. It’s not worth the stress. I just eat my wonderful, delicious whole, real foods and thoroughly enjoy myself.

    I love your podcast, and listen faithfully.

    Sarah and Jason- you guys have changed my life. I wanted to implement Paleo for a while, but it wasn’t until finding the EPlifefit podcast and listening to you guys that I had the courage to put it into action. Paleo is the best decision I ever made. There are still many aspects of the lifestyle that I am working on, such as stress, lots of exercise etc… but I have the nutrition pretty much down, and I know that the rest will come as I work on it. Keep up the good work, you guys ARE making a difference! I listen every week, and it makes me feel good to know that you guys are out there putting yourselves on the line fighting the good fight.
