On the topic of dental health and remineralizing teeth, I agree with Sarah that it’s not the end of the world to get a tooth filled. Do what’s in the best interest of keeping the tooth in place if it’s a molar; if you have an opportunity to fill something before it gets into root canal/dead tooth territory then I’d go for it. Even if the cavity remineralized, you’d still want to have a smooth tooth surface restored so it’s easy to clean in the future.

Also, always remember that a cavity is just a symptom of dental disease. You’ll still be addressing the cause by modifying dietary habits and hygiene. The dried fruits are double trouble as they’re sugary and cling to teeth so it’s a good idea to take a break from those. A couple of things you might want to look up is xylitol (Dr. Ellie is a good source) and supplementing with vits. D3 and K2. I know a lot of the “natural” health people out there swear by CLO but it is actually a poor source of vitamin D (D2 at that) and the K2 content is questionable.

Finally, perhaps there is an element of dental health that we’re born with and that’s how our enamel is formed. Supposedly poorly formed enamel is more susceptible to decay as described here: http://thedentalessentials.wordpress.com/2010/11/16/childhood-nutrition-and-susceptibility-to-cavities/
