    I loved this podcast! Loved the ranting. I’m so tired of people thinking that it’s a diet and that it’s all about the food. It is so much more. Someone recently asked about doing a Whole 30 for weightloss. This was my response to her:

    Here are my thoughts (fwiw):

    *Whole 30 – I personally think you should stay far away from it. I think for many people (not all) that it’s too strict and you’ll end up getting frustrated and quitting. If you’re someone who can handle a drastic change in your way of eating with ease, then go for it.

    *Primal/paleo is a lifestyle, it is not a diet. If you change to this way of eating with the goal to lose weight…honestly, I don’t think you’ll last. If you read all of the literature and really understand why people eat this way (for health, not for weightloss), your odds of sticking with it are so much higher.

    *Primal/paleo is not just about the food. It’s basically a table. Jason Seib says there are four legs to the table: diet, exercise, sleep, & stress management. If any of those four things are off, then you’ll have a lopsided table aka your health will be off. To really make changes in your health and in your body, you have to focus on all legs of the table, not just diet.

    *If you can get your hands on Jason Seib’s “The Paleo Coach” get it. Read it. Absorb it. Such a good book even for non-paleo people.

    *If you decided to go for it, google “Everyday Paleo A Case For Baby Steps” and “Everyday Paleo Fatloss Template” and “Everyday Paleo Just Paleo” all of these are great articles that might be helpful
