Thanksgiving Recipe Round-Up!

I might be too late with this post but for those of you who like to procrastinate (like I do) and wait until the last minute to plan stuff like giant family gatherings that involve hours upon hours of cooking, here’s some recipes that hopefully will help you with your planning for this Thanksgiving week!

Herbed Turkey Breast – For those of you who have a smaller group to feed and don’t want to go for the entire bird, here’s a delicious recipe that involves just the breast!

Succulent Roast Goose from Mark’s Daily Apple – If you DO have a crowd to feed – get crazy and go for the Goose! My dear friend Mark Sisson has this recipe on his site and it looks so darn amazing that I might go goosey myself this Holiday Season!

Everyday Paleo Stuffing – You can also find this stuffing recipe in my Everyday Paleo Family Cookbook! This stuffing is a hit anytime of year but especially for the Holidays and with the crunch of the almonds, savory sausage, fresh herbs, and sweet/tart cranberries – this stuffing can be a meal all on its own!

Cranberry Sauce and Butternut Squash and Sweet Potato Gratin – Two delicious side dishes – the Sweet Potato Gratin is a MUST. You’ll thank me later I promise.

Holiday Brussels Sprouts and Garlic Roasted Sweet Potatoes – I made both of these recipes back in 2011 and I continue to make them both every year since! These Brussels are so so so good!!

Spiced and Spiked Slow-Cooked Cider from Rubies and Radishes – Sometimes you need a little motivation to get through all that cooking, and I think this lovely drink that I found over at Rubies and Radishes is sure to do the trick!

Paleo Thanksgiving Leftover Sandwich from Stupid Easy Paleo – What do you do with those leftovers? Well, you eat them but you can eat them in this amazingly inspired way that I found over at the Stupid Easy Paleo blog. YUM!!

PIE!! Pumpkin and Apple PIE!! – There isn’t Thanksgiving without pie and the last few weeks Rowan and Jaden have both been randomly shouting out PIE in anticipation of the fact that we are going to make some EPIC pies this week.

Thanksgiving Menu 2013

Thanksgiving is literally right around the corner and I’m so excited about this epic Thanksgiving round up of Everyday Paleo favorites as well as two never before seen recipes thanks to our wonderful Rachel Zanger! To begin the feast, Thanksgiving wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without “The Bird”. I’m not a huge fan of turkey, but my Herbed Turkey Breast with Prosciutto is so darn good that my mouth waters just thinking of it! Of course, life is not complete without a delicious stuffing and we love this stuffing recipe so much that we eat it all year; not just for the Holidays. You can also find my stuffing recipe in the beloved Everyday Paleo Family Cookbook!! Next please enjoy my Cranberry Sauce recipe; the classic with a twist (and not a gallon of sugar)… Also, the most amazingly delicious thing you just might have on feast day; we introduce to you Rachel’s Butternut Squash and Sweet Potato Gratin!! In this recipe she uses my Béchamel Sauce recipe from Everyday Paleo Around the World Italian Cuisine; a recipe I vowed to keep secret unless you purchased the book, a sauce so good that when I first made it my world was forever changed, a recipe that makes grown men cry with joy, and children beg for seconds. In other words, the magic of the Béchamel with Rachel’s genius twist on the classic potatoes gratin is utterly delightful, and because it’s a season of giving, we give the gift of this recipe to you!

Not to minimize dessert because being thankful typically includes a treat or two so to finish we have two grain free pies; my classic pumpkin pie and a brand new apple pie recipe brought to you by Rachel.

So my dear readers, the Fragoso family, the Zanger family, and all of us here at Everyday Paleo want to wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving! We are incredibly grateful and thankful for YOU so from the bottom of our hearts, as always, we hope you enjoy!!
