An Old friend….ME

I recently had the great pleasure of meeting an old friend…..ME

The me I was a long time ago, the me I had actually forgotten.

I guess in some ways after becoming a wife and mother I lost me. Actually I think I forgot about me; there was just never any time, between changing diapers, making meals, and alleviating home pressures so my husband had more time and energy to focus on his job. I simply got lost. My stuff just did not matter anymore. Everyone else came first, and by day’s end, I was too tired to care.

*Note from Sarah: Here’s another post from Lisa who has been sharing her paleo journey with us.  You can read her previous posts here and here.

Paleo and Autoimmune

What Works for you is what matters

I have been trying to figure out Paleo for a while now, figuring out what works for me and my health. Over the past few weeks this journey has been anything but smooth. I am not a one day wonder or two week success story and will not pretend to be. I will write this journey as it goes, the good, the bad, the truthful and ugly side of it all.

Emotional Changes…and a Collar Bone!!

Before I began this blog I want to thank all of you for your wonderful support. It was more than I ever imagined and to be honest was one of the big parts of keeping me focused and on track this far.

I am excited to report that I have been going through many changes both physical and emotional over the last few weeks. So many changes that it took me a lot of time, writing and rewriting this blog to figure out what I wanted to talk about first. I decided on our emotional connection with food, I figured that was a topic many of us can relate to.

Healing from the Inside Out

For so many people (as in everyone) there is a heck of a lot more involved with this paleo thing than simply changing what we eat.  Jason has written some terrific posts about aesthetic goals, Dean has jumped in and blogged about the observations he has made during his interviews with folks who have traveled for a while on this paleo path, and I have written several blog posts about making changes not only in the food that fuels you but in how we view life in general.
